Blueberry 'Palmetto' (Vaccinium darrowii x hybrid 'Palmetto') is a southern high-bush blueberry developed for Florida's warm climate and low-chill requirements. It produces medium to large, sweet, flavorful berries and is one of the best performers in North and Central Florida. Available in a #3 container. Full sun. Moderate water; consistent moisture is key during fruit development. Acidic (pH 4.5-5.5), well-draining, organic-rich soil. Plant with another variety for cross-pollination. Mulch with pine bark or pine straw. Prune after harvest. Low-chill requirement makes it ideal for Florida.
