Fig 'LSU Purple' (Ficus carica 'LSU Purple') is a Louisiana State University-developed cultivar known for its deep purple skin, rich amber flesh, and excellent disease resistance. It is one of the best-performing figs for the humid Southeast. Available in a #3 container. Full sun. Moderate water; consistent moisture during fruit development. Well-draining, fertile soil. Highly resistant to fig rust and other fungal diseases. Self-fertile. Prune in late winter. Mulch to conserve moisture and protect roots.
